Children Programs

The concept of Kids for Christ was born out of a burden and passion to serve the children of our growing Telugu community. Since 2008, the Lord has spoken repeatedly and clearly through His word, through people and through visions about bringing all the children and youth in one place and conducting a children’s program in New Jersey.

The elders and congregation began praying about this event specifically from January 2008 until March 2008, when the Lord allowed an opportunity for a convenient date to host a day-long program just for children. Eight hours would be dedicated for the children to prove their talents and to shine while showing their enthusiasm for Jesus. Parents and teachers who were involved in the children’s ministry for six years in New Jersey felt that the spiritual need of the children living in the country was growing with increasing educational and peer pressures. Kids for Christ was organized in the hopes of allowing a time for children to enjoy the power of Bible verses, Bible stories, songs and skits. In the first year of Kids for Christ, 93 kids came from many states and was a great success.

Here is the brief report of KIDS FOR CHRIST 2009

In 2008 ,The Lord has given this burden and passion to serve the children of our growing community.The Lord has talked clearly and repeatedly through his word , and sometimes through his people. God has given me a vision, a picture of bringing all  the children and the  youth at one place ,and conduct a program in New Jersey.We have been praying since January 2008  to March 2008 . The Lord showed us a convenient date to host  a all-day  program just for  the children . We  dedicate 8 hours for them to exemplify their talents and  show all their young enthusiasm unto the lord to shine for Jesus. As we are all parents and being in children ministry for 6 years ,we felt the need Due to his complete will only,it was possible to have 93 kids come from nearby states to participate last year.

On June,6th,2009 ,81 kids participated in KFC. Praise be to GOD Almighty. Once again this year, we started praying and trusting on God almighty, We started preparing kids for this year’s Kids For Christ.Planning &Practice sessions were started on March 21, 2009 and held every Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00pm. We gathered at First Baptist Church Rahway. Children from all different age groups came.We Created a way to make learning verses and bible facts enjoyable. We framed a syllabus for different age groups that focused on their age limits. In April, Bro.Christopher Bandari kindly created  the website www.kidsforchristnj.com  which enabled many kids to go into website and download the syllabus to prepare for the event, which was a great help to parents and children

Thanks to all teachers and coordinators who immensely geared up & put all their energies to accomplish in training the 2-7 year age group kids, which was a tough job. i thank them for  handling the task  well.

This year we had many new comers from Boston, we were very excited to receive them, they  came all the way to participate in this competition and we challenge them to come again and perform widely   thanks to Bro.varun chintha and Bro Ernest Gulla for motivating many families and bringing 8 children from Boston NEICF,not only boston we had from Delaware-2,PA-4,Upstate NY-6,Newyorkcity-2

More than 55 children from different age groups came from new jersey  and local churches .A total of 81 children  of different age groups were divided into  5 groups

1^st group =2-4yrs

2^nd= group 5-7yrs

3^rd group 8-10yrs

4^th group 11-15yrs

5^th group teens & youth

The Events we hosted.

1.   Bible verses (random )

2.   Songs(Solo songs, group songs, action songs )

3.   Bible facts(few of them  are:- Beattiutudes,10comandments, names of Jehovah, 12 Names of sons of Jacob and their meanings ,names of 12 disciples of Jesus, names of 7churches of revelation their rewards & punishments, biblical colors and importance, Books of the bible )

4.    Fashion show “- 10 important kings in the bible mostly not much spoken of EX:- King ASA, King Jehoshaphat, king Josiah, king  Uzziah ,King Hezekiah and lastly important  coming king of kings Jesus)

10.Speech ( faith , obedience, how to be a strong Christian, evangelism, Salvation)
