  Just in 7 days is kids for Christ 2012 Big Event @NJ

1. On May26th, 2012 – Registration desk will be closed at 10:30am.

2. Be on time (if you are not available when called for the scheduled section you missed your chance!)

3. Program starts at 9:00am. With prayer and worship songs and introduction of MC and judges –Rules for the day to participants

 9:30-10:30 am Ist section will be MEMORY VERSE RECITATIONS

 PLEASE NOTE:From 3:15 PM onwards all events for all age groups will take place at SOMERSET HALL. All age groups are requested to join at SOMERSET HALL

4:45 PM onwards Awards ceremony.

** Please note: All events are being organized at different halls (Somerset, Bridgewater, Dinning hall & Youth Hall #163 & #264). Please see instructions

4. We have separate area for participants who have learnt more than 50-150 verses  to be judged   for best” BIBLE VERSE RECITATION trophy”( These participants will also participate in 2-4minute round also)

5. All song section:- Chorus & 1 stanza will be allowed.( track  is permitted  but after 1 stanza  it will be stopped )instruments can accompany your song,

6. Quick lunch will be served between 12:45-1:15pm for all  (children who finished their round for 1^st event and  songs. Can start their lunch and be back for their afternoon session) (note:-Pizzas will be served for kids)

7. Skit & drama /play should be within 5 -8minutes only.

8.  To accommodate all participants’   event wise timing will be maintained (like last time -we have a bell
 time manager will ring after 2-3 minutes .please say thank you and leave the stage)

9. Group wise events will be awarded group wise 1 trophy  to the head of the group

10. Each state wise participant will sit with their state coordinators only.

11. Audience will honor performer by keeping silent to listen what the performer is reciting. This helps judges to evaluate and grade.

12. WE HAVE few  COMPLIMENTARY PERFORMANCES-not in the competition rounds 

 13. Our participants are from:- TCFNJ, FBCTS NJ , FBC Metuchen NJ, Rock Church NY, TCCNY, Believers’ Fellowship PA, Bethany Church, PA TCF- PA, TCF-DE, CSI-NY, TBCJC- NJ

14. NO loitering in the Days Inn corridors. please all kids are requested to stay with their parents/teachers  throughout the day

15. KFC  will not take any responsibility for any damage or loss of your personal belongings

16. Do not bring food into the competition rooms.

1. Important :- ALL kids get the print outs of the   bible  verses  YOU memorized ,from that Bible  version ( KJV,NLT,EST,Children’s bible)which you  are going to  recite -. complete verse & reference

 (Remember The bible facts learned by you are also counted as bible verses )

( above 100 verses , 60verses, and 40 verses ) all will be heard  by volunteers allotted  in a separate room .( And  will be graded too!) Graded by clarity and memorization ,timing !!

2. Uniformity  all participants  are wearing our custom made KFC “t”shirt – we are offering at the discounted  dollar price $.( color “t shirt” with 2 sided printed 2 colors used  with our logo& verse)  at vendors tables- buy and wear

3.We request  parents to get their  your own cameras and video camera ,TRIPODS ( extra charged  batteries ,cable wires).

4. We Request all  volunteers to be by 8:00am at the premises

 Kids for Christ New Jersey which is established to spiritually nurture Kids of Indian Christian community in North east USA, KFC-2012 has published  this exclusive Souvenir this  yearbook on the 5th successful year of KFC-2012.

Kids for Christ is a program conceived to recognize, reward and render the honor to the best of the best kids who’ve proved in exhibiting God given talents in performing at Kids for Christ one day talent show year by year .Kids exhibited extreme skills, and sacrifices in putting all efforts and decided to learn Bible verses with devotion for the growth and development of their individual faith life .

1. KFC –One day  Talent show  is an event that brings  the talents of all age group children performers in knowledge of Bible  The event is open to toddlers, young kids, teens or students ages 13 to 19 (if not yet graduated from high school). It is a talent contest and talent show, and it provides an opportunity for young people to pursue more knowledge in biblical, and scriptural aspects.
2. Contestants are only allowed 4 entries from their age list  category.
3. The  2 mandatory performing  categories and 2 optional categories

have to choose from the respective  your age wise group syllabus:

NOTE: The categories listed above are the expected categories of each item.but are  not dependent on the number of performers that register for the contest.

4. KC2012 reserves the right to add, delete or change categories depending on registration results. Four or more performers or acts are required to make a valid category, since the prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. If less than four performers are entered in any one category, KFC  holds the right to cancel that category.
5. Prizes are awarded to EACH category for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The purpose of prizes is to reward the talented young performers for their efforts, to encourage them to pursue to know God personally through God’s word  and to help them grow in  their  spiritual life in future..The award schedule is as follows:
   1st place –Gold medal
   2nd place Silver medal
   3rd place Bronze Medal.
6. It is strongly recommended that an act run no more than 2  minutes. Under no circumstances may an act run more than 2 minutes. ACTS RUNNING OVER 2 MINUTES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED! The act is timed from the first for all categories . Contestants must present themselves to event co-coordinators an hour before the program commences.
7. In the Vocal category, instrumental accompaniment by the person in the act or others is allowed, but is not judged. It must assume the pure character of accompaniment. The test shall be whether the performance would stand alone. NOTE: CD or taped back-up may be used subject to restrictions in rule
8. . A cassette tape must be cued properly. We cannot be responsible for any tape or CD, which is not picked up following your performance. Please label each tape with your name for identification.
9. The simple standard that we believe can be fairly applied regarding appropriateness is the following: The lyrics, actions, and dress code of any entry must comply with all good policies for student  conduct. In other words, performers may not sing about, discuss, or pantomime any activity that students could not actually say or do on event  grounds.
10. KFC  is not responsible for theft/damage or injury of any kind, to persons or instruments, props, clothing etc., during, before or after the performance, at the venue.
11. If a contestant should decide to drop out of the KFC  Talent Show, any entry fee paid will NOT be refunded.
12. Contestants must be present during the entire show period. If this is not applicable in any way, contestants must inform the KFC  committee during registration.
13. KFC 2012 holds the right to use contestant’s name and/or photo for any further publicity purposes. To encourage other children to be bold to recite God’s word in and out of time.
14. Organizers reserve the right of final decision on any matters pertaining to the KFC-2012 not covered by the rules.

Adjudication
Contestants will be judged on the following basis: Presentation, 25%; Creativity, 25%; Clarity, 25% and Ability, 25%. Contestants are scored solely by the judges. They will be evaluated on how the act would be received by an appropriate, impartial audience in an appropriate setting, and is not based on the size or enthusiasm of anyone.

Contestants will be presented with a first, second, or third place ,medals,

Group events participation will be presented 1st  place trophies (Group participation is  limited to 6-8 participants per age group then only the group qualifies to represent the event)

Overall winner of that Age group – Winner Trophy.

Best Bible verse reciter -Trophy.

Telugu heritage award – if the participant recite highest number of Telugu verses- “Telugu Heritage Award”- trophy.

Overall KFC-2012  Champion!!!1 or Senior age groups  combined 3 together 1 champion will be selected based upon overall  highest total (seniors, teens ,Youth )

Overall KFC -2012 in Junior age group 3 age groups combined champion will be selected based upon overall highest total (Sub7Toddlers ,Juniors)
